· 60% of all government financial assistance is to mothers who had babies in their teens.
UNITED WAY ACTIONS:
· Secured Smart Start Kansas grant funding to provide expanded services to teen parents:
· Teen parent mentoring program.
· Expanded access and coverage of mental health services to teen parents.
· Life skill training for teen parents.
